Not sure what type of fish. Looks similar to many species I've seen around. Anyone have a clue?

  I think you might be right. It had no adipose fin, long anal ray and it's tail I could see purple, pinkish hue. Comparing it now to gizzard shad and it looks ...more similar. Thanks.

  @adminao looms like a really big gizzard shad. I could be wrong though.
