  3. Details: Fat Snook with a 3 inch minnow about 2 feet under a 1/4 ounce sinker

Got my first snook by drifting a minnow under a 1/4 ounce weight along the length of the pier. She weighed 16 lbs. we didn't get a length but she was a little ...more longer than the width of the drop net, which is 31 inches.

  4. Details: Jack Crevalle with a Jerkbait

Saw some fish hitting the top & started throwing a jerkbait. Had one come off & on the next cast I snagged this one in the stomach. Put up one heck of a ...more fight!

  5. Details: Redbreast Sunfish with a 1/8 oz pink & chartreuse crappie grub

This is the first one I've ever caught. Got a bigger one a little later. Couldn't find any bass though

  6. Details: Golden Rainbow Trout with a Cricket

Caught several smaller trout & lost a bigger one. We were drifting crickets into the deeper pockets in the stream under trees.

  7. Details: Redear (shellcracker) Sunfish with a black curly tail grub

Caught in about 6 fow. 2-3 feet visibility & about 70 degrees. This fish was fat & he fought pretty hard!

@FishForFood it's best around beds but if you drag them on the bottom slowly you can get a few off the beds
    2. pratherdg 0
@FishForFood that's the first one I've ever caught. I let it sink down and then just reeled it in slow. I usually just get bass, bluegill, and sometimes ...more crappie on those grubs
    3. corey 0
I've never caught a shellcracker on a grub, how do y'all work the grub @pratherdg

  9. Fishing in Naples Florida on a pier and had caught a few hardhead catfish. I caught one that was about 10 inches long and he started thrashing around when I tried ...more to get him off the hook and he stuck my finger.

    2. fishonflyco 0
Sucks and hardheads the same as sails cuz I fish at naples peir and we get the sail cats all the time
    3. pratherdg 0
Thanks @bmftom. I'll look into getting some

Hibiclens, I keep a bottle around while fishing. It can really help save you from infections. It's a surgical scrub type soap.
    5. pratherdg 0
Yeah I definitely will. I've been soaking it in hot coffee because we didn't have any hot water & the heat makes it feel better
    6. corey 0
dang dude....be sure to wash it really good, don't want it to get infected

About

I grew up fishing in east Tn & north Ga. I love catching just about anything, especially species I haven't caught before.
