  7. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Havoc chartuse shad 4inch

He hit it once and hit it twice and demolished it. Rigged a 4inch havoc shad chartuse on a pumpkin ed jig and slipped a KVD Elite treble hook on like I was told.

@nsanchez50 I remember that shad in one of your previous blerts. Seems like it's working!
  8. Anyone try these soft baits? Like or dislike? Suggestions on how to rig it. Some say to trim the top tail fin to add more vibration when swimming it.

@CalvinFease my man! If you were here I would hug you. Had a great day on the lake caught 3 bass and the biggest one was 4.5lbs. They loved that havoc shad and the ...more treble hook caught all 3. Kudos!

Sounds good! Hope they cooperate for ya! @nsanchez50

@CalvinFease bought the treble hook and weighted hook. Heading out early tomorrow to see what I can snag.
    4. Richard Shadler 0
Have the same myself, weighted hook is a must! You can Caroline rig it, but not as affective as a weighted hook. Great action on the move, still no takes though?
    5. Tim Knecht 0
I like @CalvinFease idea. I had some of these and tried them with weighted swimbait hooks. The action looked great but never got a bite on em.

Sounds like a great way to rig it, I was curious myself

only to add ballast and hold the treble. If you rig it without the treble, you won't hook any. If you use an unweighted hook, it won't stay down in the strike ...more zone. That's just my opinion though.
    9. Calvin Fease 0
I say keep the top fin. There's already great body roll. I use a weighted swimbait hook with about an 1/8 oz weight on it, and slide a treble over the hook before ...more rigging. The swimbait hook serves

I was curious about these too
