    Details: Golden Rainbow Trout

    Trucha Roja, or a Ecuadorian Rainbow. Caught in a lake at 13,000+ feet. After 3 hours of hiking and 5 of casting, I had 2 trout totaling around 7 1/2 pounds. Long ...more story short, if you want easy fishing, don't come to Ecuador. If you want some of the wildest trout, that have managed to avoid the dynamite of poachers their entire lives, come fish the Ecuadorian Andes.

    High mountain beaver dam lake with a slight drizzle. Took him 3 tries to get it in his mouth.
