Trucha Roja, or a Ecuadorian Rainbow. Caught in a lake at 13,000+ feet. After 3 hours of hiking and 5 of casting, I had 2 trout totaling around 7 1/2 pounds. Long story short, if you want easy fishing, don't come to Ecuador. If you want some of the wildest trout, that have managed to avoid the dynamite of poachers their entire lives, come fish the Ecuadorian Andes.
