      I have no issue believing its a 8/9lb bass, but I would suggest carrying a scale so you always know for sure

      down, look at the size of the fish's mouth compared to his hands. It's huge! Way bigger than any 5-6lber I've ever caught. Also if you take the finger ...more you can get a good estimate of the fish's length
