Slow day this morning! Caught a couple small cats but that's it. As you can probably tell the wind was coming into the point at 15 mph. Overall okay trip. Just ...more threw my santee cooper rig and waited!

It's a santee cooper rig. That has a 3oz no roll weight with a bumper so the knot stays strong. Then a barrel swivel with a 2ft 30lb mono leader. I have a cigar ...more float about 6inch from my circle hook!

That will do the job. You can increase float size to raise the bait higher or for bigger bait size. Also in faster moving water too.

Drift fishing is the best! Floating down waiting for your pole to bend way over. Lots of little bites but we were shooting for the monsters!!
