    Had a blast this morning and caught almost a double limit. Caught the first one with normal reel in retrieve. Next I tried a reel, pause, reel and that was the pattern. ...more Reel three times, let it sit for one second, reel 3 times etc. caught a total of 9 this morning from 6:45am-8:15am this way. Wind was blowing all the baitfish to the back side of the pond and caught 8 out of the 9 there. I didn't weigh any as I did simple fishing this AM. One reel and rod with Whopper Plopper, needle nose pliers and my phone. Most were legal keepers but one and he was fat.

    Caught shallow on the grass/scum line. Hit it as soon as it hit the water. Made a nice splash. Was giddy like a little kid.

    3rd cast with my new 130 WP and got hit on the edge of the scum line. Tried to keep it out but brought in 15lbs of pond scum with it. Middle of the day in bright ...more sun on a high pressured spot.

    Caught 4 this morning, had one swipe and one on that got off. I now am a Whopper Plopper addict like Robert Coleman. Makes you want to stay and not go to work. Had ...more a blast. Started at 6:30am or so and left at 8:15am. They were between 1 1/2-2lbs.

    Off the deck rear corner. Threw 2" off the bank and hit again. Same place as other catch. Fought good but not as big.

    Fishing off the deck with a 3/8oz Zman with Rage cray fatty black and blue skirt craw Fatty in Green pumpkin red. Off right side of deck rear corner threw at jumping ...more baitfish about 1" off the bank and reeled about 2 feet and bam. Caught like a champ. Pulled onto the deck by hand. 65lb braid helps with that.
