Launched from Defeated Creek and fished down to Buffalo and back. Water was stained to clear. Water temps 64-68 No reliable pattern, ended up junk fishing - final ...more count 8 largemouth, 5 keepers 3 dinks and a nice 2.8 smallmouth. All bass were in 1-5 FOW. No jump fish action, it was a slow day but saw a river otter which is a first for me. Launch is very nice and easy to access.

Combined report of three trips 10-12/10-14 and 10-17. Fished from Thief Neck down to the dam. Smallmouth and largemouth were most active 10-12, seems warmer weather ...more slowed things down. Water temps from 71-73, water clarity stained, fish relating to grass (LM) and rock/wood, (SM), most action on the main lake but some back in creeks where shad were heavy. Deep fish on Revenge 1/2 jigging spoon had to be over shad and bites were not consistent. No big fish to report therefore no pics. Very little in the way of jump fish action, almost none. Summary: fish not really on a pattern, you have to go shallow and deep, use many lure and as they say on Deadliest Catch "Shut up and "

Thursday 6 Oct out of Sullivan launch. This launch is really out in the sticks...ramp and dock ok but next time will launch elsewhere. Water temp 73, water color ...more clear on north side stained on south side. Fished Buffalo creek, and then south shoreline. Jump fish appeared infrequently during the day, managed to hit one pod and caught 2.5 lb hybrid on small blade bait. Decent crankbait bite early at east mouth of Buffalo, shad moving back into creeks in numbers. Ended with 6 largemouth, 2 drum, a shell cracker and 6 yellow bass. Missed a couple of smallmouth along the bluff side of the river. First time out on the lake will return again but via another launch. Big bass was about 2lb so no pics to share

Largemouth also caught 8 spots a large blacknose crappie and 2 smallies. Water temp 83 water clarity clear launched out of Hurricane launch.
