    The green fins and Mouth show this is a spawning male ... if caught when not in spawn they are like normal fins no color ... sucks because we don't need anymore ...more of these nasty monsters in the river ... more harm than good ...

    2nd fish Ohio Bowfin this year ... spent the morning jugging trying to get big channels but the Bowfin were spawning and going crazy. Caught 15 total and buddy caught ...more a 20" channel or so

      Is it bad I want to try one? Eek they love em in the south ... I ended up cutting one up for bait I was so sick of catching them ... a buddy and I were in same spot ...more a few days before this and pulling huge channels up but the hooks I had sucked so they would spit when they broke water ... went back with 6/0 circles after that crap lol

      No further north ... there was WAY bigger my buddy had to hold his pole at one point with 2 hands and couldn't reel he was a bit scared lol ... is it normal ...more to set the hook in their mouths?
