  My apologies on the late reply Bruce... this girl I caught in the river and she was a little over 7lbs. These days a majority of the bigger ones are up north spawning ...more that's where tournaments are won although I took 5th place last weekend and due to the winds decided to stay south. Not bad considering. Good luck and hope to see ya on Hubbard

  I also heard that trolling ...more the dam down 20 to 25 feet has been very productive in the colder months, may be too late for that now.

  Tom and Brady as you know these big girls travel north to the creeks and rivers to spawn in search of warmer water. My suggestion is to get a map of Lake Ray Hubbard ...more and target these areas. Be safe traveling up there as the path is not marked on any gps or app. You might need someone to give you some pointers. Use rattle traps, jigs, swim baits, spinners and chatter baits and of course Carolina rigs with creature baits. Good luck and I hope this helps?

  @Ron Wozny with the water temp around 43 my advice is super slow retrieve with plastics, jigs and crank baits. I'm seeing fish on the rocks, marinas, secondary ...more points and up the River on lay downs. The best of luck and I'm looking forward to hearing how helpful this was!
