My apologies on the late reply Bruce... this girl I caught in the river and she was a little over 7lbs. These days a majority of the bigger ones are up north spawning ...more that's where tournaments are won although I took 5th place last weekend and due to the winds decided to stay south. Not bad considering. Good luck and hope to see ya on Hubbard
Tom and Brady as you know these big girls travel north to the creeks and rivers to spawn in search of warmer water. My suggestion is to get a map of Lake Ray Hubbard ...more and target these areas. Be safe traveling up there as the path is not marked on any gps or app. You might need someone to give you some pointers. Use rattle traps, jigs, swim baits, spinners and chatter baits and of course Carolina rigs with creature baits. Good luck and I hope this helps?
I have a high school tournament out there in two and a half weeks. This tournament is a regional tournament and me and my bass partner need to do well. Any tips ...more or spots you would be willing to share sir?

Great to see Ray Hubbard producing that size of fish.
I also heard that trolling ...more the dam down 20 to 25 feet has been very productive in the colder months, may be too late for that now.
