1. Tough bite. Fish were very sluggish. Post cold front conditions.

    Largemouth

It's hard to say. Everything hinges on the weather and water conditions at the time. If the weather is right, you'll catch them on anything. If it's ...more not, it can be extremely difficult. Usually crank baits and soft plastics will work in varied conditions.

thanks for the info I'm from va and have a tournament on douglas this weekend. what's the water conditions and are the fish spawned out?

Fish were a bit scattered due to weather and rising water, caught them anywhere from 2-8' on isolated cover. Excalibur square bill and big bite baits shaky ...more jig head with 6" green pumpkin finesse worm.

Caught one on a crankbait and everything else came on an 1/8oz shaky head. They were super lethargic. Couldn't feel 90% of the bites.

Sweet fish Luke, looks like the big girls are pulling up and getting ready for the spawn. I was down there last spring and they the males were just starting to move ...more up into the coves. Big females were still staging off points and deep shore line just outside of the coves. Love Chickamauga and hope to get back down there.
