    Lucky enough to catch a few burbot last night!

      A few were pretty big and good fighters. We were marking schools of smelt all night and each of these fish were puking up lots and lots of smelt.

      They fight like none other. Steelhead is my primary target. UP is a hidden gem for them. Nothing beats Lake Superior steel.

      Awesome fish! Steelhead are something I've never fished for much. The only decent steelhead I've caught was last fall. I stopped along M-26 near Copper Harbor ...more and just started casting a spoon around in Lake Superior with smallmouth bass tackle. Before long I caught a nice steelhead. That was a great fight!
