Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of my equipment that I'm going to tell you about in this story because it is all with Nessie (the Loch Ness Monster) ...more at the bottom of Lake Champlain. This past summer I was out fishing with my father in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. It seemed as though it was going to be a beautiful summer day until a typical Upstate New York summer storm rolled in. It rolled in so quickly that we didn't have time to get to cover. We got caught in the middle of the lake as the wind picked up and the rain came down and the thunder and lightening began. The waves got bigger and bigger and we were lucky the boat didn't capsize. Although we were able to hold on tight, our fishing equipment wasn't so lucky. All my rods were at the back of the boat and weren't latched to the boat. The waves became so big that the boat eventually got thrown into the air and my 6 rods and reels went overboard sinking to the bottom of Lake Champlain before we could retrieve them. I have never been so disappointed in my life but the storm was so bad, I was simply lucky to have survived it. This past year, my wife gave birth to our first child and I'm thankful for the opportunity to bring him out on the water someday and teach him how great the sport of fishing can be. Thanks so much for the opportunity!
