Ronald Howell 0The largemouth bass(Blacks as we call them) are on right now in the St. Johns, The Sunshine Bass(Known as wipers up north) are on also. Friends have been bringing ...more in some monsters. Several in the 5-6 lb range and Blacks in the 10-11 lb range. Florida law says you can only keep one over 16 inches. Under that length is the fair table game. Personally I donn't keep the blacks of any size, just catch for sport. The big Sunshine and the crappie, Blue gills and shell crackers are all table fare for me.

Thanks for the comments guys! This fish went 5.96lbs and is my second largest smallmouth to date. I will post the one that went 6.1lbs (pb) the exact same day next ...more week.

Thanks guys! The lake I'm on is actually quite small and has only kayak and canoe access. No motors at all. This pike is actually huge for the lake. Probably ...more the prettiest fishing picture I have.
