It was late spring and I had my boat on the water for the first time that season. It had been stored inside a warehouse for the winter. I was fishing by myself and ...more had one pole rigged to my rod holder and casting with another. A front came in pretty fast and storm started to lay down rain. I reached into my lower compartment of my boat and pulled out my rain gear (that had been stored there for most of 3 months). I put it on pretty quick and at the same time something big hit my line. I'm thinking it was a musky. I grab my rod and start cranking when all of a sudden I feel hundreds of of little things crawling all over chest,shoulders,neck and arms . I completely freaked out and start slapping the rain gear while still trying to hold on to my rod and keep this fish. I look down on my left hand and notice all these baby spiders and I just freak out. I drop my rod and in the process of trying to rid my rain gear in now pouring rain! I slip a fell over board. I lost my nice Abu Garcia, my pride , my fish. The spiders were now gone and slowly so was my boat which was on slow troll. I managed to swim in basically water ballooned rain gear and finally catch my boat!!!
After I got my gear off I noticed that there a couple of spider nests inside(now wet) as well as holes all over the pants and jacket (mice).
The creepiest fishing experience I have ever had. (Sorry no photo although I'm sure It would have looked priceless)
