lot of fish on docks and secondary points in fall 2013

  2. Daniel, what kind of areas have you been catching them in on Jordan? Seems like every time i fish Jordan, I do terrible.

No we didn't do very well. The water was very muddy and up 2ft. The winning bag was only 13.xx lbs. Nobody was able to figure them out. Out of 74 boats, ...more there were only 38 fish weighed in.

We have been pounding mid-depth rock ledges, creek channels and timber. Jordan is a hard lake to pattern, but there are some big bass being caught right now. Power ...more fishing is the key right now. Cover a lot of water until you find a school, then hammer them. Unfortunately we haven't been able to get a lot of practice time in because of the weather and our schedules, but they seem to be doing exactly what you'd expect them to do this time of year. Tomorrow will be a little tricky because of this rain.

Hey, Mike. sorry for responding so late, haven't been on fishidy for a while. I've only fished gaston a couple of times, so I'm by no means an expert ...more on it. There is a lot of grass and docks on gaston and the fish will use both as popular shallow to mid-depth cover. If the fish are post-spawn (which is what I would expect) then I concentrate on docks around seconday points and entrances to spawning coves. fish any grass in these areas also. Last year I was there and found a nice hot spot in the entrance to a small spawning cove that had emergent grass just inside the secondary point, and there were quite a few nice bass there. flukes, horny toads, and other panfish imitators are my choice for these areas and what Ive caught almost every gaston bass on. like I said, not an expert, but I hope this helps point you in the right direction
