Thought I'd share this sunrise with you so hopefully you'll get jealous of our Thursday morning on Lake Gaston!

We launched out of Bluebird Rd this morning to get in a few hours of practice. Threw top water early and only had a few blasts at it, but nothing ever swallowed ...more it. All of our fish, with the exception of one spot, came off shallow grass pockets. Caught the spot on a laydown off the main lake. Mostly caught fish on a shaky head, but a couple did come on a shallow crank bait. We were also able to graph a few new spots that look good for winter patterns!!

Forgot to mention, water temp was 76.6* mostly everywhere we went. Air temp was around 59 in the morning and got up to around 77 by noon. We saw a lot of shad ...more schools near the mouths of creeks where they meet the main lake and also in and around main lake pockets. Most of the fish we caught came in 6-10 feet of water.

Thanks. We haven't been that far yet. We mostly frequent the lakes/rivers in Southern Virginia, and the lakes in Central/Piedmont North Carolina. Next season ...more we will be targetting Guntersville and Douglas. My partner, Chris, grew up fishing The lakes in Central Florida and still makes regular trips there.

Thanks! Yea the big one weighed in at 6lbs 9oz. That's a nice dream life, haha, but the full time gigs keep us both very busy. Maybe a post retirement goal?? ...more lol.

I'm having an issue with this particular waterway and was hoping someone else can confirm. It seems there are 2 listings for SH Reservoir and one for Harris ...more Lake Park Pond. When I zoom it automatically toggles between the three and I lose whatever I was doing. This is one of NC's premier bass fisheries and I'd like to fill this map up with a lot of good info.
