They used to stock Philpott Lake with Coho. They stopped cause they didn't do so well. Philpott is a cool water lake so they gave it a try. I love 15 minuets ...more from there and fish it often. Great bass fishing there!

That's what we need to do for the east coast meet up @seaturtles! Go lake trout fishing! Lol
    5. Sean Wilms 0
@TennesseeTroutboy I'm not surprised about lake trout. They just need cold deep water which most mountain lakes provide
    6. King_Fisher 0
That's interesting @TennesseTroutboy I guess maybe they just got over fished or something and aren't as common any more.

coast and even those are way up north
    12. Sean Wilms 0
@crookcody19 it just doesn't make any sense for salmon to live here at all, all the rivers that connect to the ocean are to warm here, and I've only ever ...more heard of Atlantic or kind salmon on the east
    13. King_Fisher 0
Yeah it's weird tho because neither are listed under the Virginia species list. @crookcody19 @seaturtles
    14. crookcody19 0
Yeah I don't think coho exist in Virginia any more @seaturtles
    15. Sean Wilms 0
wow that is strange i figured lake trout could be possible especially the farther west and north you go but i had no idea about the salmon
    16. King_Fisher 0
I agree and I've seen those records a hundred times it a be update.
    17. crookcody19 0
I heard of the lake trout and I know only so e places hold them that are kept up and the coho salmon I didn't even know existed on the east coast
