I was looking threw the Virginia state records today and saw these to old ones I've never heard of lake trout or salmon living in VA so I was wondering if anybody knew any thing about this.

      They used to stock Philpott Lake with Coho. They stopped cause they didn't do so well. Philpott is a cool water lake so they gave it a try. I love 15 minuets ...more from there and fish it often. Great bass fishing there!

      @TennesseeTroutboy I'm not surprised about lake trout. They just need cold deep water which most mountain lakes provide

      That's interesting @TennesseTroutboy I guess maybe they just got over fished or something and aren't as common any more.

      I know watuaga in tn which is close to va border has lakers so many south Holston has lakers @King_Fisher @crookcody19 @seaturtles

      coast and even those are way up north

      @crookcody19 it just doesn't make any sense for salmon to live here at all, all the rivers that connect to the ocean are to warm here, and I've only ever ...more heard of Atlantic or kind salmon on the east

      wow that is strange i figured lake trout could be possible especially the farther west and north you go but i had no idea about the salmon

      I agree and I've seen those records a hundred times it a be update.

      I heard of the lake trout and I know only so e places hold them that are kept up and the coho salmon I didn't even know existed on the east coast
