  1. Details: Largemouth Bass with a booyah pad crasher, abu garcia black max 6'9" medium heavy vengance rod, 30lb power pro braid.

Low 80's, sunny, mid afternoon, 3-4 FOW, heavy weed heavy slop. Same spot as previous blert. Caught 12 fish total today the biggest being 2lbs. Regular working ...more pad beds and near shore had no effect with the frog as my friends discovered the hard way with no fish. Again it was all about dropping the frog on top of active fish. I tried a spook for a while but the slop was too heavy

  2. Details: Largemouth Bass with a booyah pad crasher, abu garcia black max 6'9" medium heavy engance rod, 30lb power pro braid

Low 80's, sunny, mid afternoon, 3-4 FOW, heavy weed. First frog fish of the season! Fishing today was 100% sight fishing. fish were all over feeding on what ...more I thought was shad but turned out to be balls of what I think was bass fry. Waited until I saw a bass breach and casted my frog right on top of wherever that just was and boom. had to walk the frog hard to get their attention away from the fry

Me and a buddy trying out a new fishing method...follow the cranes. figured the cranes follow baitfish and so do bass so if a crane is close to shore in a spot so ...more are the baitfish/so are the bass!

100% right with that birds eat the baitfish n bugs so where they are fish is always holding lol I learned that from a fishing video game

@shadow21488 that's how my grandfather taught me to find fish, where there's birds there's fish. That and for brim and crappie that strong fishy smell ...more in the air.
    3. Zac Leka 0
@shadow21488 nice man, I think I'll give that a shot and see if it works down here.

  8. Details: Largemouth Bass with a boohyah pad crasher, 30lb power pro braid, ardent fisholage rod reel

Another shot of the 2.11 pound bass previously posted. I needed this fish I've caught nothing but under 1 lb for weeks. This fish hit it like it was mad at it ...more and put up an awsome fight! Got my fix!

There's a few ponds I fish that have frogs, and the atascosa river has alot of duckweed in some spots. Next visit to academy I may just have to pick a bright ...more one up and give it a shot.
    2. Dave Impagliazzo 0
That sucks they work great in smaller ponds that have bull frogs or a chance of frogs near shore where frogs would hang out. I've caught fish in 6 in of water ...more with no pads but other frogs @GizmosBait
    3. GizmosBait 0
I was going to buy one of those types of frogs today but no where I fish really has pads or duckweed around to put to play.

Let me know how it works out and good luck! @dragon

Ok. Thanks. I will try something with a stronger scent this weekend.
    6. Dave Impagliazzo 0
If they can't see it or smell it that's probably why your having the trouble @dragon
    7. Dave Impagliazzo 0
Parts of the day/weather and throw it right there. But in murky water you gotta throw something bright or something they can smell wit scent tech or a spray on scent@dragon
    8. Dave Impagliazzo 0
Try a bright colored senko like chartreuse or something with very sparkle flake and wacky rig it. Try to pay attention to where they breach and figure out a pattern ...more or where they hang out at different

What would you use for a murky lake in this time of year. I have one nearby and I am not seeming to catch anything big. I see largemouth breach water all the time ...more there though, so I know they're there
    10. Dave Impagliazzo 0
No I like to use the regular frogs because poppers get snagged on the pads. And I can get a regular frog to do a popping motion or walking the dog is just as good ...more as popping @dragon
    11. dragon 0
Do you use any top water poppers?
