Well Tboe and I tried very hard to overcome mother nature this weekend and even though we had limited success I'd say she won. The river was slow Saturday so ...more we decided to give the Largemouth a try...He got 5 and this 5-13 and I got 1. We stood in the cold rain that eventually sent the river to 13 feet making Sunday a bust for Smallmouth action. Had breakfast Sunday morning and like idiots we decide to give the lake a try even though its 30 degrees , blowing 20 with sleet, snow, and rain....we froze like popsicles.......we got 6 or so decent fish on cranks and jerks, no Ice out monsters yet but they will show up soon I'm sure....I have to give it to Tbowski for being as crazy as me and not letting a little foul weather keep him away from the water!!!....when is this weather gonna give up....uugh
