      this is probably #9 for me (I do fish close to 200 days a year and catch 3,000-5,000 fish/year) odds go up. Have had wife, fishing partner, and doctors remove them.

    5. cant underestimate them Largemouth, they'll just be chillin in your hands then just spaz out all of a sudden, glad that never happened to me. I heard the trick ...more is to get your pliers and just turn it the opposite way that the barb is facing as far as you can then just rip as hard as you can and pray to the Lord above.

      That looks painful, I had it happen once, but was able to push it on thru and keep fishing. It was not as deep as yours.

      sorry fellow fisherman, it's not a flat head. that is channel cat. forked tail and curved anal fin.
