True that is awesome ... I am about to post a pic about what we were tearing into tonight ... :) I can't wait to start exploring the buck more it's my favorite ...more local body ... everything else is like 40 mins and up out sucks. ... we should get together some time and go out on the buck :) I have actually read last night about the apple creek ... that is awesome too

Well the trout probably come from the little Apple creek that runs around Wooster. Local trout inc. club stocks them in a small section of the creek. They wash down ...more all the time. Caught several rainbows at the bridge on silver road. The Saugeye were about 10 Years ago. I was surprised when I caught them. But I asked a ODNR rep at the Wayne county fair if he has ever heard of them in there and he said you should never be surprised what you find in there. There are several private lakes that are located on the north end of the killbuck that are stocked with an array of different species and often they get washed out into the buck. On top of that he told me that on occasion if there are surplus in stocked fish for several local lakes they have dumped them In the buck before. So even though it is rare they have been caught in the there. Now the state stopped stacking Saugeye in north east Ohio several years back for fear of them ending in Lake Erie which they don't want. The largest of the Saugeye I caught was 6lbs too big to be a sauger.

Sorry Google it just now I have been lied to they can reproduce there is a 2-3% chance of them being created in the wild and yes they do reproduce as saugeye ... ...more so I apologize for misinfo but I still think it's sauger ... they would have had to swim from the river up the stream or there would have to be walleye and sauger in there and I never heard of walleye in the Killbuck lol
    4. Matthew Ormesher 0
Would be sauger in killbuck saugeye are sterile I think and can't reproduce ... I never heard of trout in the Killbuck but in feeder streams that's crazy ...more I was always told the water isn't good enough in the Killbuck for trout ... hmm ... but thanks man ... I am gonna have to plan something out one weekend ...
