    Greetings,
    New to Fishidy, it looks interesting. I will be fishing Fontana Lake, NC the first week in August around Almond. Renting a pontoon boat for a couple ...more of days. Never fished Fontana, anyone out there have any tips I might be able to use. My research shows the Alabama rig may be the most productive. We will be fishing for bass and whatever will bite.

      Bass, as most places in August, are a bit more difficult but with the cooler temps in the high elevation, it can be good. Fontana offers some bank fishing but is ...more much better from a boat because of the vertical banks and high bluffs. It may be best to consider hiring a guide. Walleye and crappie fishing are good at night that time of
      year. Bream and white bass are good then.
