  1. Details: Green Sunfish

My better half doing some fishing in Colorado with the grand babies, caught herself a sunfish. She caught a pretty Rainbow earlier in the day, no pick, slipped through ...more her fingers, Lol. Tight lines. 🎣

  2. Details: Brown Trout with a One on woolly booger and one on San Juan worm.

She caught both fish at the same time was fighting one on the woolly booger and then one hit the San Juan worm. She did a great job landing both. Way to go Darlene.

Yes Tie your dropper off your woolly booger.
    3. King_Fisher 0
Awesome Browns! Do you just tie a standard dropper rig and let the wooly bugger dead drift?

  4. Details: Brown Trout with a #12 stimulator

Sight casted in a small, still pool. Came up and barely sipped it. Wrapped me around a tree, went deep in the water for him. What a trip to Colorado can't wait ...more for next year.

Yeah, me too. Didn't keep a single one when I was up there, and can't remember the last time I kept a fish
    8. joemac2242 0
@whitebass_81 heck no, I rarely keep fish and the only place I ever will is saltwater.
    9. whitebass_81 0

  5. Details: Golden Rainbow Trout with a Adams parawolf

Saw this big girls sippin flys in some backwater off of the main river. Made a long cast, soft presentation, and she barely sipped it. Thought it was a tiny fish ...more at first, but not so fast. Slick calm water calls for subtle eats by big fish. Don't judge a fish's size by how it eats your lure, or fly in this case.

    1. hagenpatterson 0
      -70

    5. dillon juarez 0
Yeah some of the smaller trout wouldn't t even take a spinner where I was but it would be fun to back pack way back there also on the rio de Los pinos
    6. joemac2242 0
@flybob just get as far away from the masses of people as you can

  6. Details: Golden Rainbow Trout with a Pink meat on trout

We caught some rainbows in colorado I'm pretty sure they where wild there meat was pink insted of white like most rainbows I've heard it's because of ...more freshwater shrimp but does any body know if it's true or why it might happen

    1. dillon juarez 0
@whitebass_81 not as good as I thought I would do I only managed one brown but I was excited I posted it
    2. dillon juarez 0
Maybe @kadenpatu I think they were wild
    3. whitebass_81 0
How'd you do on the conejos? @flybob
    4. kadenpatu 0
I know brook trout have orange meat if they're native to the stream, and white meat if they're planted so maybe rainbows are the same
    5. dillon juarez 0
Thank you all @Cowboy713 @topwater98 @wyldechylde77 I would have to agree with the tasting part
    6. Chuck LaBruna 0
Wild Trout normally have red/pink meat, hatchery fish usually have white. Most of it has to do with diet, which is also why a pink/red fleshed trout tastes better.
    7. dillon juarez 0
They not be native but if they were born in the river like most brown trout I've heard they have different meat @topwater98
    8. dillon juarez 0
I've also heard it about it being from spawning I know the browns are usually pink colored but idk rainbows could be @Cowboy713
    9. jugg 0
      Is*
    10. jugg 0
Cutthroat trout as the only native/wild trout species in Colorado I do believe
    11. Chris Skinner 0
      Sounds about right
    12. dillon juarez 0
      @wyldechylde77 do you know why

  7. Details: Brown Trout with a 5'6 diawa crossfire ultra light rod Okuma avenger reel 4lb fluorocarbon barrel swivel silver Mepps spinner with a pink buck tail skirt

I caught my first brown trout it was 16 inches I went almost all week with no luck catching rocks left and right finally a big rain came in and it cleared up like ...more a sign from god to go fishing I threw the spinner straight in from of me reeling it in slow so it would reach pockets with the fish in them if I knew more about fly fishing rivers because all week there were major mayfly and trico hatch

    1. dillon juarez 0
That's awesome I wish I was going this year but I think we are going some where else, and good luck @whitebass_81
    2. whitebass_81 0
Heading out to the conejos today
    3. dillon juarez 0

    4. whitebass_81 0
Don't really remember haha, my dads friend has a cabin out there so we went out for the weekend. He's a big time trout fisherman, sucks about the weather. ...more Better luck next time!
    5. whitebass_81 0
      Don't really remember haha,
    6. dillon juarez 0
Where about did you fish it @whitebass_81
    7. dillon juarez 0

    8. whitebass_81 0
      Nice brown!
    9. dillon juarez 0
      @whitebass_81
    10. dillon juarez 0
And coming up for dead mayflys I almost caught a nervous cutthroat on my 3wt with a BWO spinner dry fly he came up to eat it and right when he opened his mouth he ...more backed out
    11. dillon juarez 0
And I found a cove where the mayfly hatch was going on I waited til it was about over to try fly fish in the water was clear so I had to stalk the tailing fish that ...more where cruising the sand bottoms
    12. dillon juarez 0
Hatches going on I recommend catching brown trout they fight way better than a rainbow and taste way better we went to Trujillo meadows reservoir and caught one ...more wild rainbow I didn't get a pic of

  8. Details: Brown Trout with a rainbow trout colored size 4 spinner, 4 lb. stren on a daiwa crossfire 4.1.1 gear ratio

Great fight on UL! Waded into about 1 FOW then Casted upstream and let it drift into a nice hole and gave it a slow retrieve when this brown nailed it! Air temps ...more in the 70's and water in the mid 50's, sunny day with small gusts of wind and the trout were hungry from after winter. Best time for them right now is from around 10:00 to 3:00.

    1. whitebass_81 0
@joemac2242 @Fierce_flies he said somebody else said that
    2. joemac2242 0
@AFleschman and you're obviously quite dumb because this is a fine way to handle this fish and it didn't die
    3. matt matt 0
R very delicate species next time!
    4. matt matt 0
@AFleschman try to be a little bit more understanding not everyone know this and the fish doesn't have a 100% chance of death if he revived it correctly it Proabley ...more could have lived just remember thei
    5. whitebass_81 0
      Please explain @AFleschman
    6. whitebass_81 0
      Please explain @AFleshman
    7. AFleschman 0
don't hold them by the mouth you'll kill them so this one obviously died because you held it incorrectly
    8. whitebass_81 0
      Thanks @flybob
    9. dillon juarez 0
      That's a nice one

  9. Details: Brown Trout with a 1/6 oz. black and gold roostertail tail

Nice brown in CO! Casting upstream and pulling it down really fast to look like stone fly, water speeds in the 350's and about 50* water temp. The trout are ...more hungry right now!!
