yes and very much yes to both! honestly one of the hardest fighting fish pound for pound i've ever caught. and has a firm white flesh that you can eat doing ...more very little too or make chowder out of or anything in between. I try to go every year at least once or twice cause their fishing for tog is so much better and their season opens much earlier than ours in nj. one of my favorite fish to target.

Did you go to RI just to target Tog? Is it a good eating or hard fighting fish?

  3. We limited the boat/group both days with this kind of quality, but the real story was a few days earlier. We were up in cape cod tuna fishing and we come across ...more a boat in distress. We end up being able to pull 4 guys and 2 dogs off the boat just about 3 minutes before they took on enough water to capsize! They were probably 2 minutes from floating in 60 degree water with greatwhites swimming around. They had no working radio, no working flare gun, and only 3 pfd for 4 guys. Didn’t catch any tuna though… i did catch a porpoise! πŸ˜‚
