Fort Loudon is known for producing quality largemouth and Smallmouth Bass. The lake is popular with tournament anglers. Nearly 85 percent of all black bass caught are Largemouth Bass.
The black bass population on Tims Ford is composed of largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass. Largemouth are the most abundant of the three and are the target of most anglers on the lake.
