Does anyone know any good spots for pike and bass? Preferably along the Passaic. I usually go behind Kennedy High but the fishing is slow. The water us also full ...more of snags and I even saw people smoking pot not 100 yards from where I was fishing. Any way. Any info would help.

..the adipose fin (small fin on back near the tail). With stocked fish, the tail fins are normally worn down and the adipose fin is clipped for identity

Not an indicator of a native trout. Native basically only means they they were actually born in the current waterway, and live there their entire lives. Native fish ...more usually have full tail fins and...

@Rickreelin83 Hey there bud, yeah it has been a while right? Haha. Yes, the hooked jaw (kype) represents a spawning male salmonid. Happens to all trout/salmon/char ...more species

@Rickreelin83 the hooked jaw also known as a kype is what the male trout get when they reach breeding age I think @wyldechylde77

what's up @wyldechylde77 long time no talk ...I thought the hooked jaw represented a native fish?
    8. Chuck LaBruna 0
@Rickreelin83 It's not a native, it's most definitely a stocker. Worn down tail fins and missing adipose fin are a dead giveaway. Still, stocker or not it's ...more a great Rainbow
