  2. Seeing a post a couple days ago about the Pere Marquette River in Michigan (Al Vazquez)reminded me of my, ummmmm..... younger years when I used to travel up there ...more fishing. Took some digging to find these, but this was a 43 incher I caught and released. Turned in to the state for Master Angler Award. Even states on the certificate that it was the second largest caught and released in Michigan waters that year (1996). Someone beat me by a quarter inch☹.Much younger Robert pictured, no gray in the beard! Lol Didn't have a scale back in the day for the weight.

  6. Has high water levels. Shore anglers targeting steelhead and brown trout will need to use caution. Try casting plugs, spoons and spinners or floating spawn bags ...more and wax worms.

  7. A good place for fall steelhead fishing. Look for brown trout between US-31 and the Indian Bridge. Falling water temperatures did produce some fresh fish
