Almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong kayak fishing today. 1st bass was close to 5 pounds jumped off, 2nd bass a six pounder had him whipped next to kayak went to net him handle wasn’t locked in net slid up to my hand bass took off never got him back, 3rd monster got him out of heavy weeds after a battle he took off for deep water came off, this is the 4th biggest of the day but biggest I landed. 10 second timed selfie cell phone is on a dock. Had pulled out measuring board got it wet and forgot to measure fish. Hooked 25” pickerel trailer hook was down throat main hook through jaw. Very next cast hit a 🦆 flying by I didn’t see… No hooks in hand 🤠.
