A flock of vultures were waiting for me at my apartment when I returned from breakfast this morning. They know where I live. Went fishing 🎣 on the Manasquan Inlet north jetty this evening on a cold, sunny day on the incoming tide after the new moon and during a north wind small craft advisory. It wasn’t crowded. Got the first parking spot again. Only one spear fisherman, 3 surfers 🏄♂️ and 8 fishermen were there. Everyone stayed away from me. It was a fun trip. Caught, tagged and released an out of season, undersized fluke with a plain hook Ava A-17 in the inlet. Then caught, tagged and released a windowpane flounder well after sunset in the ocean with the Ava jig. Didn’t get a hit while plugging in the surf and inlet at night. Two fishermen were unsuccessfully trying to catch fluke under the lights. Took lots of photos.
