https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwwnUcC22MQ Kids are out of town, so I cajoled my wife into fishing with me today. We struggled to net bait around the poles out of Mayport, but got enough for a full livewell and a little bit of chum and didn't break the beach until almost 10:30. But we got to Pablo grounds and hooked up with a king in the first ten minutes or so, so I thought it would be a banner day. Trolled around for another 90 minutes when I saw a splash by the medium line. I grabbed the rod and fed out a little line to let the lil' pogie run free, then WHAM! big splash and let's when I realized, "Holy Expletive! It's a sailfish!" Off he ran and we cleaned up the other lines and chased him down. It was a nice one and I had the treble in his pectoral fin and the wire and leader wrapped around his bill a few times, so he wasn't going anywhere...
