Not perfect but my first attempt of a clouser minnow. My girlfriends dad gave me a 10 weight fly rod and I love drown the street of an awesome river that holds good stripers. I'm gonna keep trying hopefully I get the hang of this. Any tips will help.

Trust me, it's better than the first ones I tied up! Lol

@Cowboy713 yeah I know the threads are a little sloppy up towards the nose but I'll definitely be practicing a lot so it looks cleaner.

Nice! The only thing I can see is maybe just work on thread control a bit, but that comes with practice. That will definitely catch fish!

I've had some success with a clouser crayfish for carp in Michigan as well, smallies love them too.

@TimCalzone Actually, yes I do. I tie a fly for carp that resembles corn, and I kill em with that. It's really easy to tie as well. I'll tag you in a pic ...more of it

@Matthew_L I wish we had snook around here! We got some good stripers from schoolies up to the world record in CT and we got big blue fish up to 15-18 pounds and ...more false albacore come around too

That looks good, that would catch a snook!

@wyldechylde77 I watched a bunch of YouTube videos so I'm making some sparse some thick and experimenting with different colors. Also do you know any good flies ...more for carp? I have a ton of them in

Actually it looks good! Clousers should be a bit on the sparse side, so good job there. But experiment, make some sparse, some with more. The fish will tell you for ...more sure
