I knew there were bass feeding on little shad and minnows. Every now and again the surface of the water would erupt and bass would be flying up sideways destroying bait balls. Tried a gold spoon but only half-effort strikes was what I got. Switched to silver and figured out what retrieve they wanted them hooked up with some bass. I can still catch fish after all!
