      No problem, just match up the line Specs to your budget. All of them are good, but your going to pay for a great reel
    3. TexasYakman 0
      @SwampMafia Thanks that was a major help!

      @SwampMafia conventional reels for this setup
    6. Swamp Mafia 0
      That depends on if you are looking at conventional reels or spinning reels.
    7. TexasYakman 0
      @SwampMafia what reels do you recommend?
    8. Swamp Mafia 0
      Get 2 of the penn prevails(100$ each) 10 or 12 foot
    9. Reel_Smooth 0
      The Daiwa reel @Cowboy713 is talking about is a great reel for the price. I'm looking into getting me one of those too.

      Also i just want to make sure you know that when i am talking about Penns i am referring to reels. He is talking about a rod
    13. MusicCityBass 0
      Do some research and when you think you have found what you want, just post about the two and people on here should be able to tell you if they are good choices ...more or bad choices

      I have a Shakespeare 14 foot reel combo
    15. TexasYakman 0

      @TexasYakman @MusicCityBassin PENN prevail 10'=$70 Daiwa depends on where you get it, new=$100+ eBay I got mine for $45
    17. TexasYakman 0
      Yeah that sounds like a good idea I will probably spend more on a reel thanks @MusicCityBassin
    18. MusicCityBass 0
      @TexasYakman but ugly stiks are cheap so you might be able to put a little more into a reel
    19. MusicCityBass 0
      @Cowboy713 he said about $200
    20. MusicCityBass 0
      The penn is fairly expensive. I got mine for $150 but i got one of the middle ones. They go anywhere from $75-$250. @Cowboy713 fishes saltwater more than i do
    21. TexasYakman 0
      @MusicCityBassin around $200
    22. Chris Skinner 0
      Knowing your budget would help, but a PENN Prevail 10' with a Daiwa SL30SH is a solid first setup, depending on where you get the Daiwa the setup could set ...more you back as little as $100-$125
    23. MusicCityBass 0
      Look into getting a Penn, they have great reels but they are pretty expensive and i agree with @MulletHead that ugly stik makes very sturdy rods at low prices
    24. TexasYakman 0
      @MulletHead I've heard that and have a 7' with a good spinning reel and wanted to know other options outside of Shakespeare
    25. Gabe Mitchell 0
      Not knowing your budget, a 10' ugly stick is a good entry level option.
