@bassinboy01 the only difference between the Abu 7000i and the c3 is just the color and the c3 has 3 more ball bearings

I'm not sure what the differences are between those two reels, if any
    17. holden_adams 0
Ok I couldn't choose between the two also is the 7000i c3 bigger than 7000i @bassinboy01
    18. Jacob Breaux 0
The 7000iC3 is a great reel. Several scouters use them and love them as well
    19. Jacob Breaux 0
I have a 7000i C3 and have caught bull reds up to 44" and drum up to 45" and have not even had a moment where u was scared the reel couldn't handle ...more that class of fish. Not sure about sharks though
    20. holden_adams 0
Oh ok thanks do u the Abu Garcia 7000i can catch big bulls and shakes or to weak ? @bassinboy01
    21. Jacob Breaux 0
Casting reels are baitcasters: low profile like the Revo and round reels like the 6500 C3. Conventional are larger more for offshore fishing like the Penn senators. ...more Usually pretty bulky
    22. kenzie 0
And for the sharks any kind of freshly cut bait would work. Like squid is the whats the best
    23. kenzie 0
For reds shiners work the best
    24. Austin Buley 0
      @MulletHead
    25. holden_adams 0
Sweet tag me if u get any thing and I'm not sure yet maybe not that soon @Texas_Slam
    26. Texas_Slam 0
Nice I'm heading to 61st on fri.and Saturday. When are you?
    27. holden_adams 0
Ok thanks and Jimmy's pier on 61st street or the beaches surf fishing and also I was down at ftu the other day but I'll look into that next time I go @Texas_Slam
    28. Texas_Slam 0
But if you need a guide in your real AKA level wind reels you might want to go with a penn squall
    29. Texas_Slam 0
Not have a guide but it's very easy to learn how to spool line evenly with your thumb.
    30. Texas_Slam 0
Also if you live in Houston, go down to fishing tackle unlimited and get you a FTU stock surf rod it's ready to fish. They're real nice too. And for starters, ...more just get a shimano torium. This reel does
    31. Texas_Slam 0
What pier you fishing??? Take a look at my blert that shows you how to make my bullred/shark rigs It should help you. Feel free to ask any questions.
    32. holden_adams 0
Also wanted to ask what's the difference between casting reels and conventional reels ?? @bassinboy01 @mike2014
    33. holden_adams 0
      Thanks guys @bassinboy01 @mike2014 @cole_agouridis
    34. cole_agouridis 0
I have a penn international 30w with 50lbs mono on a penn mariner rod but a penn senator is a good option too
    35. mike2014 0
      Yeah what he said lol
    36. Jacob Breaux 0
A good starter setup is a Penn 209 or 309 on an 8' or longer rod that can handle 3-6oz of weight plus bait. 20-30lb mono and you're good to go
