  3. Here's what the Red and Charteuse turned into after sitting for 5 or 6 hours. Completely orange....back to the drawing board.

    1. David Moore Jr. 0
      Those are still good baits!
    2. Robert Coleman 0
Bummer Dale, But, If at first you don't succeed,....... Good luck!

  4. Well this wasn't at all what I was intending to make. The red tends to bleed into the chartreuse while its still sitting in the mold. Ya'll let me know ...more what you think. It's Red and Chartreuse with some black and silver flake. (That's not green flake. Not sure why it looks that way...) The other half of the equation is packaging and shipping. Not too sure it wouldn't bleed into an orange color completely across and throughout the bait. I'll have to let it sit for a couple days, then throw it in some bags and let it sit some more. More to follow...

    1. Dale Waggoner 0
Wow guys thanks for all the comments. Means a lot. Now for the bad news....didn't work. I'll post a pic above this one of what they 'turned' into. ...more Completely turned orange....ugh.

    3. Scott Schulte 0
I have 4" ringworms the same color. They will catch sauger and eyes
    4. Rich Pardy 0
The Chartreuses always tend to bleed or take on another color, maybe you will get lucky.
    5. Noah Shapiro 0

Noah, I originally purchased them at www.basstackle.com but I don't think they carry it anymore. You can also look at www.btsmolds.com as well.
    14. Noah Shapiro 0
Where did you get the mold?
    15. Dale Waggoner 0
Thanks for the comments guys! Greatly appreciated! Noah, not too sure what your question is. The Kraws are sitting in an aluminum bread tray. Is that what you ...more are asking? Our baits are hand injected into CnC manufactured aluminum molds.
    16. Awesome!
    17. Noah Shapiro 0
What is the outside of the mold. A cup?
    18. Chelsea miller 0

  7. Couple posts commin' up here. This first one is an experiment. It's a laminate with one side Junebug, the other what we call Ruby Liscious (Red with Red ...more flake). Didn't exactly turn out the way I was hoping, but I'll leave it to you guys. What do you think? I suspect it would work well in really dark/stained waters.

    1. Dale Waggoner 0
      Thanks Chelsea!
    2. Chelsea miller 0
I like that better anyways! Love you lures! I need them in my life.
    3. Dale Waggoner 0
lol, Chelsea. 'Slap yer Momma'. Now that's funny. I can't use their exact title, but we could alter it to 'Slap yo' Momma', or something ...more like that. Funny stuff.
    4. Sharp Colors
    5. Noah Shapiro 0
      Cool
    6. Chelsea miller 0
slap yer momma It's a crawfish boil we use. thought it was catchy and it does look like a boiled craw.
    7. Eddie Goode 0
      Your wife is always right.
    8. Dale Waggoner 0
Well, my wife says Blood Thirsty sounds better. Decisions, decisions....let's let others weigh in and see what they come up with.
    9. Eddie Goode 0
OK. Sounds Goode to me. Run with it.
    10. Dale Waggoner 0
How 'bout Dracula Blood? His hood on wide side and blood on the other...;-)

  8. Some Methiolate Hot Sticks too...

    1. Dale Waggoner 0
That's the ultimate question Max. What colors should one throw and under what conditions. I think this color would work well in clearer water, but....who knows...?? ...more Time to experiment!
    2. Noah Shapiro 0
      Spawning is my guess
    3. Max Cobb 0
Under what conditions / time of year do you find that these hot colors work best?
    4. Dale Waggoner 0
      Thanks Noah!
    5. Noah Shapiro 0
That's nice I have been trying to make those.
    6. Dale Waggoner 0
Great tip Eddie! I for one, love Stick baits. That's the sole reason for starting Hot Seat. In fact, I tend to get 'stuck' throwing stick baits far ...more longer than I should. They do catch a lot of fish though! Thanks for the comment Matthew!
    7. delicious
    8. Eddie Goode 0
Little tip for any lake. When the water temperature is between 50 and 55 degrees take a spinning rod and tie a swivel with a 18 inch florocrabon leader and good ...more heavy hook. Hook it up weedless and throw this color around any lay downs or stumps. One of my best five came this way and have had lots of 20 plus bags.
    9. Dale Waggoner 0
I think these would do well in the Pacific Northwest with Salmon and Steelhead too. Love how it looks orange, or pink, or....??
    10. Eddie Goode 0
Hot off the plate. That is a tray full of bass nightmares.

  9. A little Methiolate action during our Nor'Easter. The Vandals (Jointed Jerkbait) are for Brian, the Skinks (lizards) are for inventory. Since these were made ...more during pre-frontal action - when the fishin' suppose to be good, these should be red hot! ;-)

    1. Dale Waggoner 0
Hi Chris, thanks for looking and the interest! Those can be found here: http://www.hotseatcustombaits.com/hot-seat-vandal.html
6th row down. Called Methiolate. ...more Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
    2. Chris Chorbajian 0
Hey I can't seem to find those orange joined a jerk baits on the website how can I get some
    3. Dale Waggoner 0
Hey Donald. Great idea! How 'bout you put 'Fishidy' in the comments block of your special instructions section and I'll add an extra bag, plus ...more a sticker for every 4 bags purchased. How's that sound?
    4. Dale Waggoner 0
Yes Noah...ohhhh, lol. These things are pretty awesome. They work great with a lightly weighted EWG hook. Swim 'em back to the boat, pop or twitch 'em, ...more and they literally turn around as if to look at the bucket mouth that's following. Pretty cool!
    5. Noah Shapiro 0
      Ohhhhh
    6. Dale Waggoner 0
      Thanks Marty!
    7. Marty Murray 0
Pretty clean molds & they come out looking nice.
