I caught 3 very similar Blue Cats mid to late summer. Not much exp worth these in fact I googled " black catfish w/hump on back" to identify 1st one. ...more Measuring 32" 34" 35" these fish seemed very strong b4 tiring out. They got my attention as I handled them with hands across there "crusher" area & that was barely tolerable as they clamped down. I've caugh both 44"& 48"- flatheads & don't recall that being an issue.
Each BlueI was caught during the day on dead large creek chubs that had been out over an hour b4 initial hit. U might think I changed outfits for pics of same fish so I'll cover them in same post. I will look for conversion chart for approx weight of the 35" & will add to post soon
