1. Got my first baitcaster. It's an Abu Garcia saltwater/freshwater rod and combo. Not really sure how to use it yet but I'll figure it out! I'm open to ...more any suggestions about it and baitcasters in general sinse it will be such a learning experience for me.

      What kind of structure you're dealing with. Just my opinion

      IMO I use braid. Start with 20 or 30 Lb test. Backlashes are more manageable and with braid you feel everything. You'll even feel a fish when it swims by and ...more buzzes your line and you'll quickly learn

      Welcome to the wonderful world of backlash! It will happen to you no matter what level you are so just keep at it. It's an art really ๐Ÿ˜‰

      much stops spinning when the bait hits the ground / water. The magnetic brake you'll be fine if you just put it about half and leave it. 12lb mono is perfect ...more like Brandon was saying

      Don't go try it out on a windy day. Guaranteed way to get really frustrated really quick. For starting out, put the spool tension just tight enough so that the ...more bait falls slowly and the spool pretty

      @slatwater thank you!

      the breaks @emily_szczechowski but good luck once u get use to it u will be good and nice choice on the brand abu garcia for live lol good luck

      for starters I would recommend put braided line cuz it doesn't back slash as much as if u would put mono flour but that's totally ur decision... and in every ...more lighter or heavier lure u gotta adjust

      Helps to turn your magnetics up a whole lot while learning.

      Keep messing with it in like your pool or a lake nearby until you get comfortable
    17. emily_szczechowski 0

      Try 12lb line and adjust your breaks on either side of the reel until your lure falls slowly when you hit the button
