@redfisher98 has it right unless u fish the thickest of the thick
    5. TheBoog 0
As long as u can stand it.. Sure enough the hit will come right as u move it again

Throw in any type of cover. In sparse cover (pads trees) i walk it pretty quick 3 sashays then pause n repeat every once n awhile throw in 1 sashay.. On scum hop ...more it pause reel real fast n stop for

Heavy rod, twitch twitch pause. Make it look natural. Around panda and over moss is best but near the shore over summer is killer! Use a heavy rod and braid. Also, ...more try the pad crasher frog it's great

What about a 7"6? I also want to run a umbrella rig

65lb braid 7'3" heavy rod 7.1:1 reel or faster is the ideal frog set up. 30lb breaks with recoil on a heavy rod. Where I frog fish a med hev wouldn't ...more cut it. @jrhoads @redfisher98

Switch to. For rod length, 7' is a solid length.
    13. AllWaterLife 0
I'm about to switch off of that exact line because I get a lot of backlash, but I don't fish heavy cover. So maybe. It's your call. I think you could ...more get away with 35-40 lb. that's what I'm about to
    14. jrhoads 0
@AllWaterLife would 50lb power pro work? Also what rod length wou you recommend
    15. AllWaterLife 0
you'll want that strength to muscle the fish out.
    16. AllWaterLife 0
Most people like to use heavy tackle. Like braid and a heavy rod because frogs work really well when thrown into lily pads and other vegetation and if a fish gets ...more your line tangled in that stuff,
