Only time I ever use a jig that small in a big pond or lake might be under a bobber you're pretty much gauranteed mostly sunfish though maybe a few crappie but ...more rarely any bass.
I love these for creek fishing jigged along bottom on overcast days or if the water is stained. The Sunnies and an occasional Spotted or Rock bass will tear these ...more up.
