Hello all: Jose and myself were out in the Yellow Yak yesterday in the heat. it was bearable as we caught a nice breeze as we were close to the spillway. We anchored ...more off app 4 feet from the dam abd started drifting minnows. The BITE was on for the first hour. We boated several nice panfish. Fishing was fast. As quick as it started it died. Jose went to the island and I back out to the dam. jose was throwing roosters with a black tail and silver body, he had several good hits but was unable to connect and hookup. I Missed several hard hits running a Sexy Shad thru the boil. Finally the Heat won..Wd packed thd yak and headed downstream for AirConditioning.. stream levels on the spillway downward have dropped a good solid 3 feet , Clarity remains still very silty and murky. Large blooms if weeds and alge floating down. several trout were seen trying to jump the dam as always along with several nice bass cruising.. Fishing will start to pick up as the depth of the lower pool decreases and the clarity improves. Now for my Rant.... Thank you to all the SLOB FISHERMAN the like to leave your bait containers, garbage and clothing not to mention all the rotting uneaten food all over the place. And if you pull line off your poles Throw it out!!* all of this harms our fishing and wildlife AZZHOLES!* we picked up others trash and line.. and left a trash bag hanging for the PIGS!! As always keep your lines tight! D.....
