Well since we started to see the normal fall weather patterns a little more consistently, we also started to see the fishing action pick up too. Walleyes and sauger ...more are being caught by vertical jigging and jig and minnow combos. Key to vertical jigging is to hit the bottom and jerk the bait up as fast as you can and then let it sink to the bottom again. Many of the walleyes will hit the bait on the way down so be prepared to set the hook. Crappies have also picked up in the canal. Not to many reports coming in but its only a matter of time. Catfish slowed with the heat last week but are picking up as I cools down. Good Luck!!!
