1. Crappie - FALL CRAPPIE FISHING IS HERE!!!!! The reports that are coming into the store are great. There are have been many reports of limit catches this week. ...more With the lake levels around 356, many people are finding brush piles in Jonathan Creek around 12-14 ft. Minnows and Jigs are both working great. It isn't cold enough for hair jigs yet. The most popular color so far has been Bobby Garland's Devil's Grin in a Mo'Glo. We now carry Bobby Garland Mo'Glo Fish Attractant and Small Rattles made fro Crappie Jigs.
    Bass - With cloud cover, the top water bite is producing in shallow areas. The Hopkins County Bass Club tournament produced a first place 25+ pounds. Also, many bass are wanting a smaller profile worm. Check out the Zoom Mag II in Plum and Heddon's Chug'n Spook in Bone or Silver/Black. If you are needing a nice topwater rod, we have new Falcon's 6'6" Medium Heavy's coming in this week. Great length to WALK THE DOG!
    Redear/Bluegill - The Bluegill bite has picked up in the last week. We have seen many fisherman bringing in great catches. The Moffit or Shelton bluegill bug, redworms, or plain ole nightcrawlers have been working. The bluegill are in the shallows. So grab a cork, a nice spinning rod, and go catch them.
    Catfish - If you are wanting to catch catfish, grab a bottle of Cheesebait and some Doc's worms and head to the channels. Local guide Lynn Lane said that in one trip that he produced two cooler fulls using this method.
