The Elite Series just got done with a tournament this last weekend and it turned out to be a great tourney. Winning weight was 88 lb 10 oz. and the average fish ...more was right around 4 pounds. I’ll take that any day of the week. Bass have been a little finicky lately with the cooler nights that we have had this last week. We are finding them suspending in 35 feet of water. Crayfish and artificial worms have been the most consistent in catching these finicky fish. Pike are being pike. Cast just on the outside edge weeds and you should find them. Spoons and spinners have been productive. Perch have been all over the place, but the bigger ones have been deep. Anglers have been catching nice perch in 55’ – 60’ of water on fatheads. Walleyes are good early and late in the day. Fish the humps scattered throughout the river with jigs and jig fish. The weekend weather looks fantastic as of right now. The fishing should only get better. Good Luck!!!
