I haven’t been in the boat for 5 weeks. Back in August, I took it out and it powered down unexpectedly. Unfortunately, I soon found out that we had a piston over ...more heating and a ring burn up and scored. Total loss on the mercury. I was angry and frustrated about it considering the age and hours, but unfortunately it did. So while we still don’t have an engine and I’m not quite sure what my next move is going to be. Dad and I did finally man up and just put the boat in the water in the nearby creek to just fish with the trolling motor. Felt good to set the hook and search around for different species
