    Early afternoon down wind with a chop on the water from the wind. slow retrieve with a jerk about a foot under the surface.

    looking a new reel under 40 bucks for lake fishing and some river fishing. any suggestions?

      I'll definitely look that up. grew up on baitcaster but the we're giving to me. so I don't know? hahha

      I accidentally read you post wrong and put a rod instead of reel! I would recommend an abu silver max bait caster. So the combo you mentioned sounds good!

      I actually found a Abu Garcia baitcaster reel rod combo for 90, seems like a good deal? but I will lookup what you suggested. might find a better deal. Thanks BCOjr
