      Right off the side of the pier, I usually fish short piers like j street embarcadero or ferry landing , that way u ain't so high off the water

      I have a net , I chum the water with bread then I wait for them to start going into a frenzy, u can usually get about 10-30 bait fish that way. Using a sabiki is ...more another way , u can use shrimp squid
